Michael MOSIRI was appointed Deputy Commissioner, Corporate Services in 2020. His appointment was made by former Commissioner for PNG Correctional Service, Stephen POKANIS OBE, DCS, under Section 13 of Correctional Service Act of 1995 (Amended). Prior to his appointment to Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Mosiri was Assisstant Commissioner - Personnel, Finance & Administration. Mr. Mosiri oversees the Corporate Services Division which comprises of Personnel, Finance & Administration, Policy, Planning & Evaluation, Facilities Assests Management Unit (FAMU), Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Legal Services, Internal Audit and Media & Public Relations. Deputy Commissioner – Michael Mosiri has over 48 years of experience as a Corrections administrator. Mr. Mosiri is also a member of the Correctional Service Executive Team (CSET).
Bernard NEPO was appointed Acting Commissioner on 05th July 2024 for a period of three months. His appointment was made by the Head of State, the Governor General of Papua New Guinea upon advise from Minister for Public Service under NEC decision through the Minister for PNG Correctional Service under Section 13 of Correctional Service Act of 1995 (Amended). Mr. Nepo has 39 years of service experience in Correctional Service administration. He served in several senior positions within CS prior to his appoitment as Acting Commissioner.
David SUAGU was appointed Deputy Commissioner – Operations in 2020. His appointment was made by former Commissioner for PNG Correctional Service, Stephen POKANIS OBE, DCS, under Section 13 of Correctional Service Act of 1995 (Amended). Prior to his appointment as Deputy Commissioner Mr. Suagu was Assisstant Commissioner - Policy, Planning & Evaluation. Mr. Suagu oversees the Operations Division which comprises of Southern Region Command, Islands Region Command, Northern Region Command and Highlands Region, Detainee Welfare & Rehabillitation, Rural Lockup, Detainee Data Statistics and Prison Industries. Deputy Commissioner – David Suagu has 31 years of experience in corrections administration and public policy. Mr. Suagu is also a member of the Correctional Service Executive Team (CSET). DC David Suagu holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Divine Word University (Papua New Guinea) and McGuire University (Sydney). DC David Suagu also has a Bachelor's Degree in Communication for Development (BCFD) from the PNG University of Technology, Lae (Papua New Guinea) and a Diploma in Project Management from Divine Word University, Madang (Papua New Guinea).
